Body Contouring

What Is It?

Profhilo Body applies the bioremodelling approach used on the face to the body. The same high-concentration, non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid is used; what differs is the volume placed and the point map — body areas are far larger than facial ones.

The problem it targets is characteristic: skin that looks thin, crepey and has lost its elasticity. This typically appears after weight loss, in the post-pregnancy period, or following sun damage. The treatment addresses the skin rather than the fat beneath it — the aim is to improve the texture of the skin, not to slim the area.

How Is It Done?

At examination the thickness, elasticity and degree of laxity of the skin in the target area are assessed. This distinction is critical: if the problem is skin texture the treatment makes sense, whereas pronounced excess skin will not respond, and that is stated at the outset. Measurements and photographs are recorded.

Product is deposited under the skin at points determined for each area, from where it spreads. The areas most often treated are the abdomen, décolleté, inner arms, above the knees and the backs of the hands. A session takes 15-30 minutes depending on the size of the area. The standard protocol is 2 sessions, 4 weeks apart; over large areas the session count is reassessed.

Who Is It For?

Suitable for people whose skin looks thin and crepey on the abdomen, décolleté, inner arms, above the knees or the backs of the hands, and who describe deterioration in skin texture after weight loss or pregnancy. Some preserved skin elasticity directly affects how visible the result will be.

It will not meet expectations where there is pronounced excess skin or laxity at a surgical level. It is not performed during pregnancy or breastfeeding, with active infection, eczema or an open wound at the site, or in bleeding disorders, uncontrolled autoimmune disease and known allergy to hyaluronic acid.

Process & Recovery

  1. Examination

Skin thickness, elasticity and the degree of laxity are assessed, and whether the problem is skin texture or excess skin is established. Measurements and photographs are recorded.

  2. Session 1

The area is cleansed, the points are marked and product is deposited under the skin. It takes 15-30 minutes depending on the size of the area.

  3. First 24-48 hours

Blister-like swellings appear at the injection points and subside as the product spreads; on the body this can take slightly longer than on the face. Saunas, swimming pools and intense exercise are not advised for the first 48 hours.

  4. Week 4 — session 2

The second session is carried out in the same way. The protocol is built on two sessions; whether large areas need an additional session is assessed at this stage.

  5. Weeks 8-12

Change in skin texture emerges more slowly on the body than on the face. Assessment is made about two months after the second session, by photographic and measurement comparison.

Results & Duration

Change is slower on the body than on the face; the skin is thicker and the area is larger. The first difference is usually in how the skin feels and in its hydration, while visible change in texture becomes clear over the 8-12 weeks after the second session.

The range generally reported is 6-12 months. Response varies markedly between individuals according to the starting condition of the skin, age and lifestyle — the same protocol does not give the same result in everyone. Repeat treatment is needed for the effect to continue.

What Is Not Promised

Profhilo Body is not a slimming or contouring method: it does not affect fat tissue, does not reduce measurements and does not eliminate the appearance of cellulite. It does not gather pronounced excess skin and does not replace surgical tightening. It does not erase stretch marks — it may partly support the surrounding skin, but that is a separate matter and is discussed separately.

No particular skin appearance, change in measurement or duration is guaranteed. If the two-session protocol is left unfinished, the expected result will not be obtained.

Key Benefits

  • Body tightening
  • Deep moisturizing
  • Collagen renewal

“What the patient sees on the body is usually “sagging”, but two different problems sit underneath it: excess skin and tissue quality. Profhilo Body works only on the second — treating without making that distinction produces disappointment.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Profhilo Body help you lose weight?

No. It does not affect fat tissue and does not reduce measurements; it addresses the texture of the skin.

Which areas can be treated?

Most often the abdomen, décolleté, inner arms, above the knees and the backs of the hands. Suitability of the area is determined at examination.

How many sessions are needed?

The standard protocol is 2 sessions, 4 weeks apart. Whether large areas need an additional session is assessed at the second session.

Is it the same as the facial treatment?

The product is the same, the application differs: higher volume on the body, a separate point map and a different waiting timeline. The result also emerges more slowly on the body.

When will I see the result?

The first difference is in how the skin feels; visible change in texture becomes clear 8-12 weeks after the second session.

How long does it last?

The range generally reported is 6-12 months and varies markedly between individuals. Repeat treatment is needed for the effect to continue.

Will it help my stretch marks?

It does not erase stretch marks. It may support the surrounding skin, but stretch marks are a separate matter and are discussed at examination.

Who is it not suitable for?

It is not performed during pregnancy or breastfeeding, with active infection, eczema or an open wound at the site, or in bleeding disorders, uncontrolled autoimmune disease and known allergy to hyaluronic acid.
