Youth Injection
What Is It?
The youth injection places hyaluronic acid based products into the superficial layer of the skin with a fine needle. The name is a colloquial one in Turkey; it does not belong to a single brand but describes a group of treatments aimed at skin quality. The line separating it from filler is clear: it does not add volume or reshape, it supports the skin’s capacity to hold water.
Hyaluronic acid is a molecule already present in skin and holds many times its own weight in water. Its amount falls with age, sun exposure and smoking; skin looks dull, fine lines become more visible as the day goes on, and make-up no longer sits well. The youth injection addresses that picture through hydration. The expected outcome is not a tightened face but skin that reflects light more evenly.
How Is It Done?
Treatment begins with a skin assessment: hydration level, the distribution of fine lines, pore and surface appearance, and the degree of sun damage. If the complaint comes from volume loss, this is not the right tool, and that distinction is made before any product is chosen.
Product is delivered through a fine needle in small deposits; depending on the area, a micro-papule technique or a wider scatter is preferred. Beyond the face, the neck, décolleté and back of the hands can be treated on the same logic. Topical anaesthetic cream is applied beforehand and the procedure averages 15-20 minutes. The plan is usually 2-3 sessions spaced 3-4 weeks apart; a single first session is not judged on its own.
Who Is It For?
Suitable for people whose skin looks dry and dull, whose fine lines become more visible through the day, or who say make-up no longer sits on their skin. Smoking, poor sleep and heavy sun exposure bring the picture forward. From the late twenties onwards it is also chosen preventively.
Where there is marked laxity, deep lines or volume loss it is not enough on its own; in that picture it is a supporting part of the plan. Pregnancy and breastfeeding, active infection or an active acne flare at the site, bleeding disorders, uncontrolled autoimmune disease and known allergy to the product all change the planning and are discussed individually at examination.
Process & Recovery
Skin assessment
Hydration, surface quality and the distribution of lines are examined, and it is established whether the complaint comes from skin quality or volume loss. The number and spacing of sessions is set here.
Treatment day
After topical anaesthetic cream, product is delivered in small deposits with a fine needle. The procedure takes 15-20 minutes and you return to daily life the same day.
First 24 hours
Redness, small raised points and pinpoint tenderness occur at entry sites and usually settle within a day. Make-up, sauna and intense exercise are postponed.
Session spacing
Sessions are planned 3-4 weeks apart. The change in skin becomes visible as sessions accumulate, so keeping to the intervals matters.
Review and repeat
A review follows the completed series; the maintenance interval is then set according to skin type and lifestyle.
Results & Duration
Hydration is felt within the first days; the real difference shows in how the skin reflects light as the sessions are completed, on average within 3-4 weeks. The change is not an abrupt break but skin that reads as rested.
Duration varies with the individual, the product used and lifestyle; the range generally reported is 6-12 months. Sun protection and smoking are the two factors that affect it most. Sessions can be repeated as the effect fades; stopping treatment does not leave the skin worse than it started.
What Is Not Promised
The youth injection is not a filler: it does not add volume to areas such as the cheekbones or lips, does not change the oval of the face and does not gather lax skin. It does not erase deep expression lines and does not replace botulinum toxin.
It is not a pigmentation treatment; it does not lighten darker patches and does not replace sun protection. No particular appearance or duration is guaranteed; the response varies with skin type, age and habits.
Key Benefits
- Intense moisture
- Skin radiance
- Skin quality support
“The first question I ask is this: what you see in the mirror — is it laxity, or is it dullness? Treating dullness with filler, or laxity with hydration, leaves the patient unhappy either way.”

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the youth injection the same as filler?
No. Filler adds volume and reshapes; the youth injection supports hydration and skin quality. They answer different complaints and can be combined in one plan when needed.
How many sessions are needed?
Usually 2-3 sessions spaced 3-4 weeks apart. The exact number is set at consultation according to skin condition and the product used.
How long does it take, and is it painful?
On average 15-20 minutes. Topical anaesthetic cream is applied beforehand; most people describe it as fine needle pricks.
Will small bumps remain?
With the micro-papule technique small raised points form and usually disappear within a few hours to a day. That appearance is expected.
Which areas besides the face?
The neck, décolleté and back of the hands are treated often. Skin is thinner there, so technique and quantity are assessed separately.
When will I see the result?
Hydration is felt in the first days; the visible difference becomes clear as the series is completed, on average within 3-4 weeks.
How long does it last?
The range generally reported is 6-12 months. Sun protection and smoking directly affect that duration.
Will my skin get worse if I stop?
No. When treatment stops the skin returns to its own natural course; it does not end up worse than where it started.
