Salmon DNA
What Is It?
Salmon DNA treatment delivers polynucleotides obtained from salmon into the skin through micro-injections. A polynucleotide is a short-chain molecule produced by fragmenting DNA; it carries a repair signal to the skin rather than a building block. Because fish DNA is structurally close to human DNA it is recognised by the tissue and the likelihood of a reaction is low.
This is not a filler. It does not add volume or fill lines; its target is the skin’s own capacity to repair and hold water. The expected change is not volume in the mirror but the texture of the skin, how hydrated it feels and how it reflects light.
How Is It Done?
Treatment begins with skin assessment. Whether the problem is tissue quality, volume loss, or a surface issue such as pigmentation or scarring is established. Salmon DNA addresses only tissue quality; if the problem is different, that is stated at the outset and another plan is discussed.
Topical anaesthetic cream is applied beforehand. The product is delivered into the superficial layer of the skin with very fine needles, through evenly spaced points in small volumes. The areas most often treated are the face, the eye area and the neck; the eye area is one of the regions where this product is frequently chosen, because the skin there is thin. A session averages 15-20 minutes. The protocol is usually 3-4 sessions, 2-3 weeks apart.
Who Is It For?
Suitable for people who describe dullness, loss of hydration, fine surface lines and tissue fatigue. Around the eyes it can be chosen where the skin has thinned and dried and filler is not appropriate.
It will not meet expectations on its own where there is marked volume loss, deep lines or advanced skin laxity. It is not performed during pregnancy or breastfeeding, with active infection or inflamed skin lesions at the site, or in bleeding disorders, uncontrolled autoimmune disease and known allergy to fish or seafood — allergy history is specifically checked for this product.
Process & Recovery
Skin assessment
The source of the problem is separated out: tissue quality or volume loss. Fish and seafood allergy is specifically checked. Photographs are taken.
Session day
After topical anaesthetic cream the product is delivered into the superficial layer with fine needles through evenly spaced points. The session takes 15-20 minutes.
First 24 hours
Redness and short-lived bumps appear at the points; where the eye area has been treated, mild bruising is more common. Cold compresses and sleeping with the head raised help there. Make-up and swimming pools are not suitable the same day.
Between sessions
Sessions are planned 2-3 weeks apart. The first difference in hydration and radiance usually becomes clear after the second session.
End of series
The result is assessed about three weeks after the 3-4 session series is complete. Maintenance is usually planned every 6-9 months for the effect to continue.
Results & Duration
The effect appears gradually across the series rather than after a single session. The first difference is in hydration and radiance; a change in tissue quality requires completing the series and then waiting about three weeks.
The range generally reported is 6-9 months. Response varies with the starting condition of the skin, age and lifestyle; the same protocol does not give the same result in everyone. Maintenance sessions are needed for the effect to continue.
What Is Not Promised
Salmon DNA is not a filler: it does not add volume, does not fill deep lines and does not reshape areas such as the cheekbones or chin. It does not fill hollowing under the eye — its effect there is limited to skin quality. It does not gather sagging and offers no solution for pigmentation; without sun protection the result obtained is not maintained either.
No particular skin appearance, session count or duration is guaranteed. If the series is left unfinished, the expected result will not be obtained. If expectations do not match the skin’s actual problem, the treatment is not recommended.
Key Benefits
- Rejuvenation
- Skin radiance
- Smooth tissue
“Salmon DNA is about feeding the skin rather than filling it. The aim is not a fuller face but healthy, rested skin.”

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Salmon DNA a filler?
No. It does not add volume or fill lines; it is aimed at supporting the skin’s own repair and water-holding capacity.
How many sessions are needed?
Usually 3-4 sessions, 2-3 weeks apart. The exact number depends on the condition of the skin and the response obtained.
How long does a session take?
On average 15-20 minutes.
Is it painful?
Numbing cream is used first, and the needles are very fine. Most people report a brief prickling that passes quickly; the eye area can feel slightly more sensitive.
Can it be used around the eyes?
Yes — the eye area is one of the regions where this product is frequently chosen, particularly where the skin has thinned and filler is not appropriate.
When will I see the result?
The first difference in hydration and radiance usually comes after the second session. A change in tissue requires completing the series and then waiting three weeks.
How long does it last?
The range generally reported is 6-9 months. Maintenance sessions are planned for the effect to continue.
I am allergic to fish — can I have it?
No. Because the product is salmon derived, it is not used in people with fish or seafood allergy. Allergy history is specifically checked for this product.
